Cilantro-Mint Chutney

A bright, herby blended chutney — fresh cilantro and mint with jalapeño, ginger, garlic, and yogurt. Tangy and green and versatile. Serve alongside grilled meats, as a dip, or with samosas and pakoras. Keeps in the fridge for several days.

Ingredients Ingredients

  • ½ cup yogurt

  • 3 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro

  • 1 cup mint leaves, packed

  • 1 medium jalapeño

  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, sliced

  • 1 clove garlic

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp sugar

  • ½–1 tbsp water
Method
  1. Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Taste and adjust salt and lemon quantities.

Notes

  • Add peanuts or desiccated coconut to make it a bit thicker — great as a dipping sauce.
